These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the ArtisanKart website and any purchases made through it. By using our website in any of the ways listed opposite, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms.

If you are purchasing on behalf of a company or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that entity to these terms.

Availability

What you see, what you get, and why handcrafted products are beautifully imperfect — by design.

The handmade difference

Natural wood grain, tone, and texture vary between pieces. Photographs are representative. Your piece will be similar — never identical. This is exactly what makes it yours.

Natural Variations in Handcrafted Products

Every piece we make is shaped, sanded, carved, and finished by hand. This means that no two products are identical. Wood grain direction, tone, and texture vary naturally between pieces — and between the product photograph and your individual piece. These differences are not defects. They are the signature of genuine craftsmanship. We consider them features, not flaws.

Product Images & Descriptions

We photograph our products carefully and describe them accurately. However, monitor calibration, lighting conditions, and natural wood variation mean that the colour and grain you receive may differ slightly from photographs. Dimensions provided are approximate and measured to within ±5mm. If exact dimensions are critical for your use, contact us before ordering.

Pricing & Availability

All prices are displayed in Indian Rupees (INR) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Prices may be updated without notice, but the price you see at checkout confirmation is the price you pay — we will not charge more after your order is confirmed. Product availability is subject to workshop capacity and material supply.

Product Descriptions & Accuracy

We make every effort to ensure product listings are accurate and up to date. If a product is listed with an error (incorrect price, incorrect specification), we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund before dispatch. We will notify you promptly and give you the option to reorder at the correct price.

Discontinued & Out-of-Stock Products

If a product you have ordered becomes unavailable after order confirmation, we will contact you within 2 business days to offer an alternative or a full refund. We do not substitute products without your explicit approval.

Personalised
Orders

Custom orders involve shared responsibility — you provide accurate content, we produce it faithfully. These terms explain exactly where each responsibility sits.

The most important rule

We engrave exactly what you submit. Please check your text, names, dates, and images carefully before confirming your order. Errors you introduce cannot be refunded.

Payments

How orders work, what payment methods are accepted, and what happens if you need to change or cancel.

GST included

Prices displayed on the website include GST. Your invoice will show the GST breakdown. For B2B orders requiring input tax credit, contact us for a formal B2B invoice with your GSTIN.

Order Confirmation

An order is confirmed when you receive a confirmation email with your order reference number. We begin processing your order within 1 business day of confirmation. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 2 hours, check your spam folder or contact us — your order may not have been placed successfully.

Pricing & Currency

All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) unless you select a different currency display. INR pricing is the definitive price — foreign currency conversions are displayed for reference only and are subject to exchange rate fluctuation. The INR amount at checkout is what you will be charged.

Order Amendments

You may request changes to a standard (non-personalised) order within 2 hours of placing it, provided production has not started. For personalised orders, amendments may be possible within 30 minutes — after which engraving preparation begins. Contact us immediately via WhatsApp for the fastest response.

Order Cancellations

Standard orders may be cancelled for a full refund within 24 hours of placement, provided they have not been dispatched. Personalised orders may be cancelled within 2 hours of placement before production begins — after which a partial refund (materials cost deducted) may apply. Orders already dispatched cannot be cancelled.

Processing times differ between standard and personalised orders. Delivery estimates start from dispatch, not from your order date.

Free shipping on all orders above ₹999 within India. Flat ₹99 shipping on orders below ₹999. International shipping calculated at checkout based on weight and destination.

Production timelines for bulk orders are confirmed in writing at the time of quotation.

Delivery estimates are not guarantees

Estimated delivery dates are based on historical courier performance and are provided in good faith. Factors outside our control — courier delays, weather, local conditions, customs — may affect actual delivery. We are not liable for delays caused by the courier once the package has been dispatched.

Failed deliveries

If delivery fails due to an incorrect address provided at checkout, or if the package is uncollected after a courier delivery attempt, redelivery charges may apply. Please ensure your delivery address and phone number are accurate. For gift orders, confirm with the recipient that someone will be available.

Tracking & notifications

All orders are dispatched with a courier tracking number sent to your registered email address. Use the tracking link to monitor your shipment. Our courier partners (Delhivery, Blue Dart) provide live tracking from dispatch. For any tracking queries, contact us — we can follow up directly with the courier.

Same-day dispatch (Jaipur only)

For non-personalised orders placed before 11 AM IST by customers in Jaipur, same-day dispatch is available upon request. Contact us on WhatsApp immediately after placing your order to confirm same-day eligibility.

Corporate &
Bulk Orders

Bulk orders follow a structured quotation and approval process. These terms apply to any order of 10 or more units, or any order requiring custom branding.

Send us your brief on WhatsApp and we will get back to you within 1 business day with a quotation.

Submit a Brief

Share your requirements via WhatsApp or our corporate enquiry form — product type, quantity, personalisation details, branding requirements, and required-by date. The more detail you provide, the faster we can respond.

Receive a Quotation

We provide a written quotation within 1–2 business days. The quotation includes unit pricing, total cost, production timeline, delivery estimate, and GST breakdown. Quotations are valid for 7 days.

Approve & Confirm

For orders with logo engraving or custom packaging, we send a digital proof for your approval before production begins. You confirm approval in writing. We begin production only after written confirmation and payment of the agreed deposit.

Production & Delivery

Production timelines are specified in the quotation. We provide progress updates at agreed intervals. For large orders, phased delivery can be arranged. Final payment is due before dispatch unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Minimum order quantity

Bulk pricing tiers begin at 10 units. Orders below 10 units for the same product are priced at standard retail rates. There is no maximum order quantity.

Deposits and payment terms

Bulk orders of 25+ units require a 50% deposit at order confirmation and 50% before dispatch. Orders below 25 units require full payment upfront. Payment terms beyond this require a signed agreement.

Design ownership

Custom designs created specifically for your corporate order remain your intellectual property after full payment. We retain the right to use a representative photograph for our portfolio unless you request otherwise in writing at the time of order.

Cancellations

Corporate orders cancelled after production has begun are subject to a partial charge for materials and work completed. Cancellations before production begins are refundable minus any design/proofing costs already incurred.

Customer Content
& Uploaded Files

When you submit artwork, logos, or images for a custom product, these rules govern ownership, permissions, and responsibilities.

Ownership of Your Content

Any artwork, logo, image, or text you submit to us for a personalised order remains your property at all times. By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to use it solely for the purpose of producing your order. We do not acquire ownership of anything you upload.

Your Representation & Warranty

By submitting content for personalisation, you confirm that: (a) you own the content or have explicit permission from the rights holder to use it in this way; (b) the content does not infringe any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property right; and (c) the content does not violate any applicable law or third-party right.

Content We Cannot Use

We reserve the right to refuse to engrave or apply any content that we reasonably believe infringes intellectual property rights, contains offensive or illegal material, or misrepresents a brand without permission. If we decline to proceed, we will notify you promptly and offer a full refund.

Your Indemnity

If a third party makes a claim against us arising from content you submitted (for example, a copyright infringement claim from a brand whose logo you uploaded without authorisation), you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any resulting costs, claims, or liabilities.

Intellectual
Property

Our designs, photography, and branding belong to us. This section explains what is and is not permitted — in plain terms.

The short version: you can share, enjoy, and talk about our products freely. You cannot reproduce our designs, photography, or branding for commercial purposes without permission.

Website Content

All text, graphics, layouts, user interface elements, and other content on the ArtisanKart website are owned by or licensed to ArtisanKart and are protected under Indian copyright law. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, or distribute any part of the website content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

Product Designs

The original designs of our handcrafted products — carving patterns, shapes, decorative motifs, and product configurations — are our creative work and are protected by applicable intellectual property law. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and for all activity under your account. Choose a strong, unique password and do not share it. If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, contact us immediately — we will secure the account and investigate.

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that are used fraudulently, to abuse our return policy, to submit offensive personalisation content, or to engage in any activity that harms other customers or our business. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us — see our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.

Prohibited activities

The following activities are not permitted on our website or through our ordering system:

  • Submitting false personalisation content to obtain refunds
  • Attempting to access other accounts or backend systems
  • Using automated tools to scrape product or pricing data
  • Uploading malicious files or code through any form
  • Placing orders on behalf of someone under 18

Orders

We ship to 8+ countries. International customers should be aware of customs duties, delivery timelines, and currency considerations.

Customs Duties & Import Taxes

International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, and handling fees levied by the destination country. These charges are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in our product prices or shipping charges. We have no control over customs charges and cannot predict them — check with your local customs authority before ordering.

Restricted & Prohibited Destinations

We do not ship to countries under active international sanctions or where we are unable to obtain export clearance. If you place an order to a restricted destination that we cannot fulfil, we will cancel the order and issue a full refund. The list of supported destinations is shown at checkout.

Customs Documentation

All international packages are accompanied by an accurate customs declaration stating the product description and declared value. We are required by law to declare the actual value — we do not undervalue shipments to reduce customs charges, as this is illegal in most jurisdictions.

Currency & Payment

International orders are priced in INR. Your card or PayPal will convert to your local currency at the prevailing exchange rate. We are not responsible for foreign exchange fees charged by your bank or card provider. Prices displayed in foreign currencies on the website are indicative only.

International customers: customs delays

Customs clearance can add 3–15 business days to international delivery times and is outside our control. Estimated delivery dates provided at checkout do not account for customs clearance time. Plan accordingly, especially for gifting occasions.
